If it can be said that the European Renaissance was a rebirth of classical schools of thought then we can also say that the birthplace of many of those deep and rich lines of enquiry was the great city of Alexandria. This talk will explore the origins of that city and its founder, Alexander the Great as well as the heritage of the great minds who inhabited the city, changing the world forever with their ideas.
