Mythology: The extraordinary adventures of gods and heroes

In the great myths, historical truths are relative. Whether or not the adventures really took place, the essential truths they describe are universal. Such is the power of myth, passed from the oral to the written, from the written to art, to music and even to cinema, continuing to inspire us today.

Discover Gilgamesh, the Mesopotamian hero, who inspired the imagination of that ancient culture. His tale is that of facing the challenges of life with the best in us. This public talk will delve into what we can learn from such a myth in our journey of self-realisation
