Our next public talk on Saturday 30th November at 3pm in Rathmines

Mythology: The extraordinary adventures of gods and heroes

In celebration of UNESCO‘s World Philosophy Day we host free public talks. Bring a friend!

In the great myths, historical truths are relative. Wheter or not the adventures really took place, the essential truths they describe are universal. These valiant heroes, these intriguing divinities have entered the pantheon of legends.

Piercing the mists of human memory, Setanta, Gilgamesh, and many others have remained through the ages. Such is the power of myth, passed from the oral to the written, from the written to art, to music and even to cinema, continuing to inspire us today.

We will also discover the myth of Gilgamesh and the myth of Setanta.
